Will you marry me? Fuck yeah!
When you have two kids (a kindergartener and a 1-year old) at home, your options for New Year's Eve partying are limited. So we settled for watching the KING5 Seattle Space Needle fireworks celebration. The fireworks stopped because of a computer problem, but the best part of the show came shortly thereafter. Several couples got engaged live on the air with a crowd watching and "whooo"-ing behind them. A young man got down on bended knee and proposed to his fiancée; after she accepted his proposal a watcher in the crowd shouted an enthusiastic "FUCK YEAH" which was heard on live broadcast. For me that made up for not being able to go anywhere to party the night away. Looks like someone captured this and posted it, which is why the internets are the blessings of God.

Milestones in a career
Sometimes we take a moment to reflect upon where we have been and where we are going in our careers. I did that very recently and realized what a great journey it has been. For several years I worked for the company which owns www.phonenumber.com but now I work for the company two blocks down the street from there which owns www.phonenumbers.com.
Mexican Nescafe: Good; Chinese Nescafe: Bad!
So that you can learn from my mistakes, I will share my recent adventure in foreign Nescafe exploration. It is not safe or fair to assume that all import Nescafe versions are the same. For example

Mexican Nescafe is Bueno (good)...

Chinese Nescafe is Huai (bad)!
To be fair, the Mexican version had powdered whole milk as an ingredient while the Chinese version had non-dairy creamer - which I'm sure is something that displeases God.
However, that does not diminish the fact that this is yet another example of Chinese products ENDANGERING OUR KIDS! Perhaps lead paint doesn't make everything better after all.
